David Castle was shocked to find his elderly neighbor, Mrs. Madison, living in her car despite owning a house.
After inviting her to stay with him and his wife, he learned she couldn’t bear to live in her home after her husband’s death. When David inspected her house, he discovered toxic mold had made it uninhabitable.
With help from the community, they sold her land to a developer, who offered Mrs. Madison a new assisted-living cottage. Thanks to David’s kindness, she found a new home and stayed close to her friends.
